Welcome to Website of - Kendriya Vidyalaya Karnal

Kendriya Vidyalaya Karnal was established in 1986 in civil sector under the patronage of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD. In the geographical map Karnal takes the peaceful position between the land of two battle field i.e. Kurushetra of Mahabharat and Panipat the field of freedom struggle. This is believed to be the land of Karan the great warrior in the epic Mahabharata. The Vidyalaya is running in temporary building since 1986 till date. Vidyalaya's new building is under construction and the work is going on at fast pace. The process of construction is in full swing. The school is eagerly waiting for its completion in near future.

From the Principal's Desk

"The Woods are Lovely, dark and deep

It is a proud priveledge to launch our very own website which is yet another milestone in our list of achievements. We are an infinitesimally small speck in the huge ocean of the K.V.S. that stabilised to an even keel and then started surging ahead on all fronts.

It is a unique forum for all of us which gives an opportunity to give free and frank expression to our thoughts and vision. It not only widens our mental horizon but also adds a lot to the development of our total personality. I can say our Vidyalaya is on a firm footing on its way to progress. In the past months the school has shown all round improvement in the fields of academics, cultural and sports activities. The website is yet another accomplishment on the path to glory. I wish to convey my thanks and good wishes to all who are associated with this great venture directly and indirectly in this creative endeavour.

Current News

1. Class X & XII have shown 100% results with very good quality for the session 2009-10.

2. The books/drawing books/CDs provided by Road Safety Organization have been distributed among the students of Classes VI to X to create awareness among the students regarding traffic rules.

3. Mrs. Promila Sharma, PGT(Hindi) & Mr. Ved Parkash, PGT(Maths) has joined the Vidyalaya.

4. 3 Scouts & 3 Guides went to KV, Hamirpur for attending Proficiency Badge Testing Camp, 2010 from 09.07.10 to 11.07.10. They were escorted by Ms. Suman Dhoondwal, TGT(S.S).

5. VAN MAHOTSAV was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 16.07.10. Principal, Dr. Maya plant a Mango plant in the Vidyalaya premises. Eco-club incharge & Science teacher, Mrs. S. Verma also planted a guava plant. Many other teachers & a number of students planted many plants in the Vidyalaya. The day was celebrated with great happiness. Drawing & Painting competition was organised.

6. POPULATION DAY was celebrated on 17.07.10. A drawing & painting competition was organised to mark the ocassion. Awareness was created in the Morning Assembly.

7. 3 Scouts & 3 Guides went to KV 1, Chandimandir for attending Pre-Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp from 18th to 20th July, 2010. They were escorted by Mrs. Anita Joshi, PRT.

8. 2 Guides & 1 Scout has been selected under the Pre-Rajya Testing Puraskar Camp.

9. 10 students from Class IX & X were taken for Adventure Programme to Panchmari (M.P.) from 01.05.10 to 07.05.10. They were escorted by Mr. Ram Kishan, PRT
