Welcome to Website of - Kendriya Vidyalaya Karnal

Kendriya Vidyalaya Karnal was established in 1986 in civil sector under the patronage of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD. In the geographical map Karnal takes the peaceful position between the land of two battle field i.e. Kurushetra of Mahabharat and Panipat the field of freedom struggle. This is believed to be the land of Karan the great warrior in the epic Mahabharata. The Vidyalaya is running in temporary building since 1986 till date. Vidyalaya's new building is under construction and the work is going on at fast pace. The process of construction is in full swing. The school is eagerly waiting for its completion in near future.

From the Principal's Desk

"The Woods are Lovely, dark and deep

It is a proud priveledge to launch our very own website which is yet another milestone in our list of achievements. We are an infinitesimally small speck in the huge ocean of the K.V.S. that stabilised to an even keel and then started surging ahead on all fronts.

It is a unique forum for all of us which gives an opportunity to give free and frank expression to our thoughts and vision. It not only widens our mental horizon but also adds a lot to the development of our total personality. I can say our Vidyalaya is on a firm footing on its way to progress. In the past months the school has shown all round improvement in the fields of academics, cultural and sports activities. The website is yet another accomplishment on the path to glory. I wish to convey my thanks and good wishes to all who are associated with this great venture directly and indirectly in this creative endeavour.

Current News

1. Second Unit Tests of FA-I were held w.e.f 09.08.10 to 16.08.10.

2. "Hindi Pakhwara" is being celebrated in the Vidyalaya. Various activities & competitions are undertaken under the Hindi Pakhwara celebrations.

3. “Independence Day” was celebrated with great zeal & enthusiasm. National flag was hoisted by the worthy Principal & a cultural programme was held up.

4. A meeting of VMC was held up on 17.08.10 to discuss certain issues.

5. A painting competition by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) was undertaken at the Vidyalaya. Two best entries were sent to the Nodal Officer, Haryana as per the directions given.

6. “Sahaz Yoga” lectures are being given by Sahaz Yoga Kendra people on every Wednesday & Saturday.

7. Third Unit Tests for FA-I were held up w.e.f 25.08.10 to 31.08.10.

8.. Three students from our Vidyalaya participated in Regional level Skating Camp held at KV, 3BRD, Chandigarh. All the three have been selected for participation at National Level Skating competition.

9.. Three students from our Vidyalaya participated in Regional level Swimming Camp held at K.V. No.1, Patiala. All the three have been selected for participation at National Level Swimming competition.

10. Music teacher, Mr. Parmod Kumar has joined KV, Karnal after transfer from KV, Sarahan

11 . TGT(Maths), Mr. Anand Danda joined the KV after transfer from KV, Hamirpur.
